Turn Up the Heat with G. Garvin — TV One
January 11, 2008 by whereindc
On TV One is a Turn Up the Heat with G. Garvin, back for a third season. You may recognize the host from his appearances on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He’s also been a chef at Ritz-Carlton (exec chef at Morton’s), Kass Bah, and Reign.
I caught his holiday episode with Mo’Nique where they made Garlic Basil Chicken, Orange Roasted Duck, cheese polenta, green beans, apple cobbler, and Oxtail Stew. It’s a one hour show (which explains how they can pack in all this food).
The recipes are simple, but (seemingly) flavorful. Yum. I’m looking forward to making some of these recipes!
The show airs weekdays at 1:00PM EST.

Where can i meet him or maybe i should wait until he finds me cause itsays when a man finds a good thing. So G. Gavin will have to come to little towns like Fayetteville NC,
On the visit to Blu47 restaurant in Chicago, Chef David Blackmom had a recipe for stuffed catfish. At the time I was unable to copy the recipe. It sounded really great. Please e-mail me a copy of that recipe. I would really appreciate it. I just enjoy watching your show here in Richmond, VA.
Thanks,
Susan Berry
