I made this French Baguette recipe to see if it’d be better than this one, but it wasn’t. Although this recipe was better than this one. The reason was that it didn’t have as crispy of a crust as the other one. But it did have a nice soft and chewy interior.
I liked it, but I think I’m done trying out new baguette recipes. I think this is the winner.

After my great experience making homemade baguettes using just my KitchenAid mixer, I thought I’d make one with my bread machine.
It wasn’t as good. Perhaps had I not made the other one, I would have thought this was good. But I did and this one didn’t work out as well.
The reason was that while the exterior was a nice tan color, the interior wasn’t as chewy. Why the heck I didn’t take a photo of the inside is beyond me, but trust me — not as good as the other one.
