I read an interesting story this morning on how Michelin has intensified the battle with Zagat as a better restaurant rater.

What’s the difference?  The story says, “While Zagat is based on thousands of surveys done by people who like to go out and eat, Michelin’s inspectors are professional food critics who hand out between one and three stars.”

Do you have a preference?  Do you take either ranking seriously?

I look at both, but neither will impact my decision on a restaurant.  What makes my decision on whether I’ll go is the menu (so restaurants, make sure your menus are online!).
