I had cabbage and was in the mood to make some fish tacos.  Yeah, I know it’s more of a summer thing, but I thought it’d be fun.

Anyway, it was and healthy! 

Fish cooking  Fish Tacos

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of cod (I couldn’t find any so I used catfish, but you’ll want a mild white fish)
  • Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 TBSP lemon juice
  • 1 TBSP of vegetable oil
  • Corn tortillas (or flour)
  • Limes
  • Pico de gallo (or you can make a creamy sauce with 1/2 cups of both mayo and sour cream, 2 TBSP of Old Bay seasoning, and chopped cilantro).
  • Sliced cabbage

Put cod into a bowl and season with Old Bay seasoning and lemon juice.  Cut up the cod into big chunks.  Mix and let marinate for at least 15 minutes (no more than 1.5 hour). 

Then heat up the oil into a pan, when it’s hot, put the cod in and cook until the fish easily flakes off.

Heat the corn tortillas in a pan, oven, or microwave for 30 seconds.  Put pieces of fish, pico de gallo (or your creamy sauce), cabbage, and a lime slice.
