I don’t know about you, but I have a tendency to buy frozen fruits and vegetables and then completely forget about them.  When I realized my freezer was filled to capacity with various Trader Joe’s items, I tried to see what I could use up so I could actually close the door. 

That’s when I found a half of a bag of blueberries — and thought blueberry muffins would be fantastic.

I thought these were good and sweet.  I used the frozen blueberries and followed the recipe exactly.  The “top of the muffin” was crispy and sweet while the inside was soft and moist. 

I know the recipe said you can get 18 muffins, but I think if you want a real muffin top, you can get 14 or 15.  I made only 12 because I didn’t want to get another muffin pan dirty (yeah, laziness was the reason) and you’ll see the bottom 6 were a little too full as they spread a bit too much.
