I went to Manny’s while in Dallas.  Well, we were supposed to go to another Tex-Mex place, but when we drove to the location, it was an Italian restaurant.  You can’t go to Dallas and not have Tex-Mex right?

  • Food:For appetizers, we ordered brisket flautitas which were fantastic.  We also ordered queso chorizo — also amazing.  They also provided free chips and salsa when we sat down.  The salsa was a bit spicy and good.  I ordered the tilapia fish tacos because the way they were described on the menu, made them sound healthy.  Umm, they weren’t.  They were way over-seasoned and greasy.
  • Service: While the restaurant wasn’t busy, our server was frequently MIA.
  • Atmosphere: It had a fun and casual atmosphere.  You could tell it was popular with the college-age students and was a good spot for a date.
  • Attire:Casual
  • Price: $$
  • Overall: The margaritas were pretty good and the two appetizers we ordered were great. But I’d definitely stay away from the fish tacos.  Others at my table ordered the tamales and tacos al carbon — both looked great.  I think I just ordered wrong.
