While this recipe is technically called apple brownies, I think apple bread (or maybe even cake) is a better description.

It’s incredibly easy to make — I used two HUGE Gala apples because I love the taste of them (and they bake well).  I also peeled the skin off the aples.  The batter is lumpy and ugly (unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo), but I poured it anyway into my 8×8 greased pan.

Voila!  After baking it for about 50-60 minutes, my kitchen was overcome with an amazing cinnamon-sugar-apple smell.  It also had that perfect taste and to me, that means it wasn’t too sweet.
