UPDATE 12/9/08 — I made this recipe for cinnamon scones and it was way better than this one below.
I love scones and when I found myself with a container of sour cream, it was only a matter of time until I made some.
This recipe for cinnamon scones was simple and it did make a lot of them. Had I not been so lazy and put them on two baking sheets, they would have gotten a bit bigger.
Before I put them in the oven, I sprinkled the recommended cinnamon and sugar. BTW, in case you’re like me and think the 4 tsp of cinnamon in the mixture might be too much, it’s not.
I accidently overmixed so it was lighter than a typical scone should be, but they still tasted good. Don’t overmix and it’ll be exactly what you’re looking for in a cinnamon scone recipe.
