One day I decided to make dark chocolate truffle cookies because I didn’t have any butter and was looking to use up some dark cocoa powder.
I have to admit — my cookies didn’t turn out the way they did in the recipe’s photo. There were a couple of thoughts I had when I was making them.
- I don’t know if they should be refrigerated for 4 hours…they were crumbly and a little difficult to assemble
- Regardless of if I rolled the dough into balls or if I smashed them down, they never looked right.
They did taste pretty good and were definitely chocolaty. I’m not convinced that I want to make them again though…
