I’m lazy, but more importantly, I’m car-less. So the last thing in the world I want to do is go and buy wine in a cab. Plus, I have a few different bottles that are my favorite and they’re tough to find in local stores.
The solution? The Wine Buyer.
Now I know some states don’t allow people to ship wine, but thankfully, DC isn’t one of them. I only order my three favorite wines from Wine Buyer once a year.
I am not very knowledgeable about wine, but I have my favorites. My dislikes? I don’t like Chardonnay. I don’t like sweet wines.

My favorite red is the L de Lyeth Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s full-bodied, rich, and so smooth. It’s on sale for $9.99.
- My favorite white is the Chereau Carre Muscadet de Sevre et Maine Sur Lie Chateau de Chasseloir. As the salesman told me, it’s the driest white wine available. I don’t know if that’s true, but it’s dry and tasty! Plus, it’s on sale right now for $7.99.
- Last, but not least, I like Domaine Saint Hilaire Brut as my sparkler wine for those non-special occasions. It’s also on sale for $11.99.
Shipping is reasonable and I’ve never received a broken bottle.
So readers, what are your favorite bottles?
